The Protein Packed Acai Bowl

Start your morning with a nutritious and delicious smoothie bowl!


For the past month I have been obsessed with making acai bowls. After trying it a number of ways, I've finally found the perfect balance of tartness, sweetness and thickness. Apart from being delicious, this bowl is packed full of antioxidants and nutrients, like vitamin C, vitamin D, and much more.


The Protein Packed Acai Bowl

Ingredients

1/2 cup coconut water or water
1 tbsp acai powder or 1 frozen packet of acai
1 scoop Vega Coconut Almond Nutritional Shake, or vanilla protein powder of choice
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen sliced strawberries
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1 banana
1-2 handfuls of baby kale
1 medjood date, pitted
1 tbsp goji berries (optional)

Toppings
Granola
Coconut flakes
Cacao nibs, sweetened
Fruit of choice

Directions

  1. Toss all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blitz until fully combined.
  2. Pour the mix into a bowl and top with your favourite toppings.
  3. Enjoy immediately.
